At first I found them hard to instal after doing 2 doors the other 5 were a breeze. Glad to know I can count on the company to be able to purchase them as I need them

They work like a champ, door now swings freely and silently. Sprayed them with silicone lubricant to extend the life...

Its usually only a few weeks before we have to replace the bushings on the door. I am going to have my husband thread the end of the pipe and we are going to put on a washer with a small weld to see if that will be a longterm solution. I like a lot about these doors but the need to always replace the bushings and its no fun having a door fly off in cold weather.

I think you need a better design. I go through these door bushings like crazy. There has to be some other design that's viable and you dont have to keep buying or losing those bushings.
The rubber bushing is the best material we have found for the Kennel Door. We could use brass or some other more durable material but we would not be able to have a floating hinge. The floating hinge is an important safety feature for the dog. Most of our customers can get two or more years use out of a set of bushings. However, just like tires on a car the more use they receive the quicker the wear. Lubrication with silicone goes a long way in increasing their serviceability. The door on my dog's Dog Den 2 is four years old and has the original bushings. Bushing wear comes down to the amount of use and lubrication.
