The Experts Know
The K-9 Kondo is the best and most durable, economical and long-lasting doghouse available. And you can find the proof in the kennels of some of today’s most respected sportsmen, police departments, and animal shelters. Here’s why:
The K-9 Kondo is more than durable...it’s practically indestructible. It’s rot-proof and insect-proof. And it’s the only doghouse on the market guaranteed to be completely chew-proof. You’ll never need another doghouse.
The K-9 Kondo is convenient. It’s lightweight so it can be moved to or from a truck with ease, and cleanup is a breeze. You don’t have to worry about water absorbing into a wooden floor, or even moving it. Simply clean inside or underneath with a hose.
Feature for feature, this affordable doghouse is comparable to other manufactured doghouses that cost twice as much. Since it will last a lifetime, the K-9 Kondo even offers substantial savings in time, energy, and money. The affordable K-9 Kondo is much longer-lasting than a homemade doghouse that will need to be replaced.
Dogs Love It
K-9 Kondo isn’t just preferred by dog owners. It’s preferred by dogs, as well. When given the choice, dogs almost always choose the comfort of the K-9 Kondo over other types of doghouses.
Its Natural Shape
Research shows that dogs prefer to sleep in shallow, curved holes. The curved, natural shape of the interior surface of the K-9 Kondo effectively satisfies this natural “nesting” preference. As a result, dogs take to the K-9 Kondo better than any other type of doghouse. And they are guaranteed to stay warm, too.
With the K-9 Kondo, your dog won’t have to worry about freezing his or her tail off. Guaranteed “winter warm,” tests show the K-9 Kondo equals or exceeds the warmth of other manufactured pet houses.
The K-9 Kondo is even guaranteed to be “summer cool.” With a unique ventilation system and heat shield deck, the interior stays within two degrees of shade temperature, even in direct sunlight. And dogs just love to sun themselves on the deck.
Unlike other dog flaps and doggie doors that actually channel rain inside, the K-9 Kondo rain shield and kennel door prevents even wind-driven rain from getting inside. Even with six inches of standing water outside, the dog flap for the K-9 Kondo is designed to keep your dog warm and dry as a bone.
Satisfaction Is Guaranteed
If you or your dog is not completely satisfied with this affordable doghouse, we’ll give you a full refund of the purchase price within 30 days from the time of purchase. No questions asked. Each K-9 Kondo comes backed by a five-year (see warranty page for details). If you experience a problem, we’ll take care of it. Guaranteed.
$119.95 (includes free shipping) for the kit to convert your own barrel into a lifetime doghouse. Plywood decks and barrels are not included.
NOTICE ON BARRELS
We regret that we can no longer provide barrels with our K-9 Kondo doghouse kits. The cost of shipping has become very expensive, with some barrels costing as much as $100 to ship to some locations. Good quality used 55-gallon plastic barrels cans be routinely obtained from local car wash businesses, bottling plants, or found in the Yellow Pages under “Drums & Barrels.” Barrels with a minimum bottom diameter of 21 inches are required and can have a maximum diameter of up to 24 inches for the K-9 Kondo doghouse kit. Barrels smaller than 55 gallons or of steel construction will not work with the K-9 Kondo kit. A little bit of searching will save you a lot of money while still providing your dog with a comfortable, yet indestructible animal shelter.
ALL NEW OPTIONAL NAME PLATES FOR $10 (2 for $15*)!
Give your pet's doghouse or kennel that special touch with a custom metal sign showing your pride in your best pal. For only $10.00 with your order of any K-9 Kondo product you can have a 12 x 4 inch custom seven letter sign cut from rugged 22 gauge steel. Hang it on a wall, kennel fence, Dog Den, or K-9 Kondo. Select either ellipse or rectangle in the products options above, then spell out the dog’s name using up to seven letters in the text field provided before adding the product to your cart.
* If getting a second name plate for the additional $5, it must be the same name and design as the first name plate.

This is the second K9 Kondo I have bought. I really like the product but neither one of them had enough hardware to put them together. Had to drive 20 miles one way to town to get screws. First one was missing parts. I like the barrel kits and the dogs do too but not good enough for cold winters. I have 7 dog den 2's for that.

I have 4 K-9 condos, 3 of which were the old style with 2 x 4 wood horizontal supports. They worked well, but my bird dogs liked chewing on the wood. I'm glad to order the 3 new kits to replace the old bases. Great idea and product!
Thanks for the review. If you have a K-9 Kondo with wood bases I suspect that you received them from someone other that us we do not use wood in any of our products. Thanks for the new order.

Just received my 3 K9 Condos today and after unpacking I spent 30 minutes cleaning up all of the shredded paper shavings. These cheap jokers use shredded paper trash as packaging material, terrible idea.
K-9 Kondo Comment
Some time ago we looked into using the foam "peanuts" rather than shredded paper and found that it would increase costs by as much as $4.00 per unit. We buy the paper from a sheltered workshop that employs a number of handicapped people who shred paper every day. I know the paper is messy but it protects the parts very well while keeping the customers costs down. In more than 25 years of business this is the first time that anyone has made it an issue. We regret that you are disappointed.

Assembly takes about 3 hours. A pair of small vice- grips helps hold nuts on the outside while tightening from the inside. This is the eigth one I have assembled over the years.

The instructions are not easy to use and need more pictures. What was especially frustrating was trying to figure out all the different bolt sizes, as they were all thrown in one bag. I made a mistake while constructing it and used the wrong bolts, then had to go back and undo it. Also, there needs to be extra hardware. I dropped one or two pieces in the grass and ended up having to go to Lowe's to get more.
My dog refuses to use the door when it's down. I followed the instructions on the box to no avail. She will use a softer plastic door. She does love the barrel, but it is not functioning as the cold weather dog house that I was hoping for.
