Well-made Dog Den, good for dogs up to 110 pounds.
Guaranteed Insulation: Our Dog Den 2 has over one-fourth more insulating foam built into the ceiling and floor of every doghouse. It is better than any commercial doghouse available on the market today and kennel owners and gun dog/bird dog owners agree. Our design uses a full inch of foam in the ceiling, and the wall and floor each have ¾" of foam built in. This heavy-duty doghouse will keep your dog dry, warm, and comfortable wherever you live.
Hound Heater: The Hound Heater Pet House Furnace can dramatically warm the temperature inside the Dog Den up to 70 degreess in the coldest climate areas. When the wall-mounted heater is installed properly, it is safe for pets. The 150-watt Hound Heater comes with a one-year manufacturer’s guarantee. The heater is easy to install with a Dog Den ordered with K-9 Kondo. When purchased with the Dog Den 2 we predrill the mounting holds and provide easy-to-use attachment hardware.
Exterior Wall is UV-Protected: The UV-protected extreior wall and interior vinyl wall are washable which makes them easy to disinfect and clean.
Washable Detachable Lid: The doghouse lid detaches easily which makes cleaning a breeze. Changing bedding is easy and convenient.
Well-Made and Chew-Proof: The commercial-grade materials used in the Dog Den and dog flap are chew-proof.
Dog Den 2 Size: The regular Dog Den measures 34" long x 22" wide x 22" high.
Thick Door Lip: The door lip is 4.5" high. This ensures that your dog bedding stays where it belongs.
Heavy-Duty Dog Flap “Kennel Door”: The heavy-duty kennel door is unique in that it swings both ways. It also locks in the open position to enable ventilation in the summer. This durable dog flap is designed to be water-proof, wind-resistant, and chew-proof.
Tough and Lightweight: This heavy-duty doghouse is made of high-quality commercial-grade materials and only weighs 55 pounds.
Easy Assembly: The Dog Den 2 comes 90% factory assembled and requires less than 30 minutes for completion using common household tools.

Received two Dog Den 2 three days after ordering online. Started the assembly of the first Dog Den by reading the enclosed instructions. I am not a handyman by any stretch of the imagination, however the assembly went well and about one hour later I had a fully assembled dog box. On to the 2d Dog Den and 45 minutes later another assembled Dog Den. I have Elhew Pointers in 50-55 pound size, the boxes have ample room and are extremely weather proof. I would highly recommend the Dog Den II model.

I spoke to this customer and offered to refund his money. I regret that we did not please him but there are a couple of things that I would like to address. After I spoke to him I picked 10 fastener packs at random to see if the count was wrong. Each pack had the correct amount of fasteners. I can only assume that he was correct and that we made the error or that he used certain fasteners for the wrong the part. As to why we do not attach the lid latch to the wall it is because the unit would rest directly on the latch during shipping creating a very real hazard of being bent or worse. The customer states that the instructions are poor and could be much improved. The instructions are straight forward and probably could be improved as most products can be. However, we have full color supplemental instructions on our site that were available to him when and after he placed his order. Where he comes up with the 3/8 inch gap in the ceiling is beyond me. The plastic ceiling is cut on a CNC router table and is cut 1/16 inch smaller than the lid. This clearance is designed to keep the ceiling from having any buckle in the middle from being squeezed into the lid. It is not even close to a 3/8 inch gap. When we make a mistake we always step up and correct it to the customers satisfaction. We offered to do that with a refund In this case. He declined our offer. The reviewer says in one place that he really likes the doghouse but later in the review says he regrets purchasing it. I still cant understand that logic. Happily for my company the vast majority of our customers do not agree with his assessment.

I don't like writing this review because I really do like this doghouse.
When you get one of these it comes in a study cardboard box. The process of getting it out leaves you with the impression that they went to some extra trouble to make sure this thing arrives safely, and they get kudos for doing a great job here.
My expectation was that I was going to have to do some assembly because it was advertised that way. The instructions in my mind were adequate, but could be significantly better. The supplied hardware really needs to be inspected because mine came with to many screws of one type and not enough of another. Fortunately I am a pretty handy guy who has decades of hardware collecting around the garage and was able to use some nice stainless stuff I had laying around. I still don't understand why they did not complete the task of attaching the roof hardware. None of all this though bugs me about this doghouse.
Where things get weird is the juxtaposition of how they have selected good materials and then thrown them together with substandard workmanship. I'm a guy who builds furniture for a hobby so it bothers me when I see that mine came with gaps in materials that are over 3/8" wide. There wee other things that made made me wonder if it was damaged in shipping and when I looked at the box, there was just no way. They just flat out made it poorly. The quality of construction just doesn't meet my personal standards and because of that I regret purchasing it. If you build things and are meticulous about every detail, this product may bother you as well. If however, you just want to keep your dog warm, and you have other things to do in life, well this dog house will probably be useful longer than the dog will live.

Bought 3 dog den 2's with hound heaters. Assembly of each took approximately 1-1/2 hours and was straightforward with good directions. Need to buy a 6'treated 2 x 4 for the base. Only issue was a missing latch catch on the cover of one house which customer service promptly sent me along with a rivet tool for installation. Door installation can be a little tricky to get it to swing freely but not a big issue. Only reason for 4 stars was one of my hound heaters has been problematic and had to get replacement parts from the manufacturer. Had to take the hound heater apart to replace a thermostat which would be a problem for someone not mechanically inclined. Really an issue with hound heater not K9 Kondo. Love to give my fellow Nebraskan's in the Sandhills a great plug for a great product. Oh, and the dogs love it too. These replaced my original K9 Kondos which served me well for 15 years.

I found the dog house to be exactly as described(The best). I called and had friendly service. My dog is spoiled. I only wish it was 10 times bigger in case the wife kicks me out. I would highly recommend this dog house to everyone. I even finished the construction that was necessary. I am not a carpenter by any means.
