The Door Sleeve is meant to fit between the front and back plates of the Kennel Door and fill any possible wall void between the two mounting plates. Not all applications require a Door Sleeve, necessity is based on wall construction and personal preference.  Door Sleeves are recommended when mounting the Kennel Door to any wall where there is a void between an exterior and interior wall as they prevent the dog from getting a leg caught between the two walls.  Thin walls or walls with no void would not necessitate a door sleeve for safety.

The door sleeves are made of galvanized steel and must be custom cut to your exact specifications.  To measure for your door sleeve measure from the outside of the exterior wall where the front door plate will mount to the outside of the interior wall where the back door plate will mount.  

PLEASE NOTE: Ensure that your measurement is precise as if your measurement is too wide you may be unable to mount the Kennel Door plates to your wall. Likewise, if your measurement is too narrow the Door Sleeve may not be properly held in place by the door plates.
